Marian Jean Reeves was born in Seattle on October 30, 1926 along with her twin sister Joanne who did not survive. Parents Edna and George Storey raised Marian along with younger sister Elaine. Marian graduated from Roosevelt high school in Seattle and attended Washington State University. She met and married Sheldon Reeves while both worked at a local bank. Later, as a single mom, she went back to school. Then landing a position with Safeco and later, Purple Cross insurance.
Marian and Sheldon had two sons, Mark and Joel and daughters-in-law Donna and Nancy. Marian had five grandkids Jill, Lisa, Tyler, Brandon and Nicole, nine great grandkids, five great great grandkids, and four wonderful nieces.
In 1990 during the Goodwill games Marian took advantage of the empty Aeroflot airplanes that were headed back to the Soviet Union. She took the flight and toured Moscow by herself. She was a small of stature person with plenty of chutz·pah.
Marian passed away in her sleep on December 1st, 2025. The family would like to thank those who helped in her final years and days.
