Marianne Mary Emerson, 84, passed away February 17, 2015 in Seattle, Washington. She was born on February 17, 1931 in Michigan to Jack and Nina Emerson. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Mitchell, and is survived by her sons, Christopher, Mark, Matthew, Thomas, Guy and Claudia Mitchell of Washington and Robert and Marcy Mitchell of Connecticut.
She is also survived by her sister, Jacie Arnold of Michigan and her brother, Stanley Emerson of Michigan. Among the many relatives and friends she is survived by, she also has six grandchildren, Sally, Dirk, Leah, Katy, Mia and Ava.
Mary was a loving mother and cherished friend. She loved working in her garden and leaves a legacy of love in our family. She will forever be remembered."
