Born to Jack and Roslyn (Sanford) Lemon on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1959, in Prosser, Washington, Michael was the last of six children joining the Lemon household.
Michael grew up in a happy and active home. After graduating high school in 1978, he worked for Kraft Foods and the City of Prosser.
Michael moved to Seattle in 1983, where he first began working in the swaging and then machining industries. He ultimately joined Machinists Inc., where he was employed for almost 30 years.
He spent many years helping to raise his nephew Jason Lemon and caring for his oldest sister, Marcia, in her later years.
Michael enjoyed spending time on the Oregon Coast with his extended family, fishing with friends, was an avid reader and an ardent lover of cats.
He had a keen sense of humor and always had a joke ready to tell. Friends have remarked that when he laughed, it was a full-body laugh.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Roslyn (Sanford) Lemon, his father, Jack W. Lemon, his older brother, James Lemon, his older sister, Marcia Lemon, and her son, Jason.
He is survived by His Sister Maureen, Brother Robert (Tricia), Brother David (Gina), Sister-in-law Evelyn Lemon, nieces Tracy (Jamie), Jamie (Josh), Jaclyn (Alec), Jennifer (David), and Tess Lemon, nephews Jack (Maggie), Nick Strain, Toby (Rachel), Spencer, and Seth Lemon, four great-nephews, and two great-nieces.
