Naomi was my mother's (Vera Dahlman) step-sister.  I remember visiting with Naomi 2 or 3 times over the last 50 years (I am 56).  I remember Naomi saying "Heavens to Betsy" when I was a little girl, and being very sweet and pretty.  She gave my grandmother (Lottie) nice gifts too.  It sounds like Naomi had a really wonderful family in Washington -- the Carpenters.  I am glad my mother, Vera, got to meet you at Naomi's 80th BD I think it was.  Mom and Naomi came up through hard years on the farm, I can only imagine - when I hear about some experiences.  Love and sympathy to Naomi's friend-family in Washington.  Thank you for everything.
