Patrick Arnold Munter

Patrick Arnold Munter passed away peacefully May 3, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Kamloops BC on June 22, 1943. He graduated from Blanchet High School in 1961. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1966, attended and graduated from the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Training in Quantico, VA in 1968. Pat received a law degree from the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1978.

Pat spent his entire career with the Seattle Police Department, starting as a patrolman in 1966 and retiring as a Major in 1995. He was active for many years with the Seattle area Native American Organization. He married his wife, Joan (MacDonald) in 2002.

Pat is survived by his wife, Joan, two sisters, Lucille Gibbs of Wenatchee, and Karen Hiltbruner (Cliff) of Seattle, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Margaret Rose Munter Hiltbruner, and brothers, Ron and Karl.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 111111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A reception in his honor will follow the service.
