Pete was born in Eros, LA on October 16, 1919 to the union of Jeney and Aria Jackson. After the passing of his parents, he and his brother Jeney were raised by their aunt and uncle Stevie and Harry Johnson- now deceased. He was one of five siblings. At an early age, he joined church and was a member of a quartet and the usher board. He was a member of Mineral Springs until leaving Louisiana. After joining the Army in 1942, he was chosen to feed the soldiers to keep them strong. He left in 1946 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He moved to Seattle after the Army where he met and married Susan. They celebrated 50 golden years together. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking, playing cards, dominos, and watching westerns on television. He loved watching television with his grandchildren. He leaves to mourn two daughters, one son, four grandchildren, five step grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters in laws and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2001 at 10AM, Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N., Seattle.
