Phil was a singer, song writer and poet. He was a lifelong musician and entertainer who began his musical career in college with the PLU Nordic Trio and went on to perform with The Century Singers, a popular northwest group in the 70’s. He blended his beautiful voice with a talent for comedy and puppetry which appealed to all, from young children to residents in senior centers. He loved performing whether in intimate venues or stadium crowds of thousands. He was a loving, playful, spiritual, empathetic confidant and loyal friend who lived every day to the fullest.
"When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and I could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'" (Erma Bombeck)
