
Ralph passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on March 2, 2011, a lifetime resident of the Seattle area. He was born March 21, 1920 to Murdock and Mary Pullin MacPherson.
He graduated Ballard HS in 1938, attended 2 years at U of W prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps. He served in England, North Africa, Sicily and Italy with the 419th Squadron, 301 Bombardment Group. Honorably discharged in 1945, he received many service and campaign ribbons.
Dad met Peggy Lou Quade in 1945, they married Feb 23, 1946. He owned and operated a grocery store for several years, then went into the bread business working for Buchanns, Oroweat, and Gai's bakeries, retiring in 1982 to pursue his new career in fishing and bingo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all siblings as well as his wife Peggy (died September 2001). Surviving are their four sons: Ronald (Linda), Kenneth (Sherrie), Russell, and Robin (Patty), 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Anca Godri for her extraordinary care she gave to our father during the last 2 ½ years of his life, and George Watts for his lifelong friendship to dad. Ralph will be remembered for his belief in prayer along with his kind and generous heart.
