
Richard "Dick" Leslie LANGER Born 8/10/23 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Vincent & Emma Langer. Passed peacefully in his Wallingford home of 61 years on 5/31/07 in the presence of family & friends. Preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Josephine, brothers, Arnold "Arnie", Ivan & sister, Marvel. Survived by daughter, Mary Jo; son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Mary; grandchildren, Jennifer, Stacy, Natalie, Rosalyn, Vincent & Cody; sister, Connie; niece, Jackie; special friend, Patsy; beloved canine companions, Josey & Commodore; & numerous nieces and nephews. Dick served his country during WWII as a merchant seaman employed by The Standard Oil Company working in both the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans. After returning from the war, Dick launched his career as a Restaurateur operating Vincents Caf? Belltown, The Village Grill Magnolia, Andy's Caf? Renton, & The Rimrock Steakhouse Lake City. Dick was an avid Husky Football fan with numerous memories including the Rose Bowl Victories of 1960 & 1961 and road trips to Tempe, 1990 and Lincoln, 1991. Services for Dick include a Rosary on Thursday evening, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Benedicts Church 49th & Wallingford, and June 15, 11:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedicts followed by a gravesite service at Evergreen Washelli.
