
Dick was born October 26, 1933 in Tulsa Oklahoma. He died January 14, 2003. Dick was a graduate of the UW in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Air Force with research and development group at Wright Patterson A.F.B. Following the service he began a 38-year career in international sales and marketing with Boeing. He retired in 1995. He was a resident of the Innis Arden community for 42 years. Most recently he resided on San Juan Island. Some of Dicks memberships and affiliations included; Phi Delta Theta, Washington Athletic Club, Corinthian Yacht Club, Friday Harbor Sailing Club, Maseratti club, Garden Railway Society, ME 262, King County S.W.M. San Juan Sports Car and Croquet Club, Boeing Creek Restoration, San Juan Community Theater, SJI Chamber music society. His hobbies included; sailing, fine furniture building, custom light design, theatre set design, black smithy, sports cars, airplane restoration, LGB trains, A NW Home builder, he built 2 family residences, 1 boat, one Townhouse and a Triplex.
Memorial services will be held on 1/29/03 from 2-5 PM at the Friday Harbor Sailing Club and on 2/2/03 from 1 to 4 in the fireside room of the Seattle Yacht Club
