Richard Christian Ostbye Sr. 9/17/1949 - 5/18/2009 Loving father and friend, 59, passed away in Shoreline the morning of May 18, 2009 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born and raised in the Seattle area he lived in the Pacific Northwest all of his life. He served the city of Seattle and his community as a Seattle Police Reserve Officer for more than 20 years. He will be remembered for his generosity, witty humor and unwavering spirit. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and Courtney and son Kyle. He was preceded in death by daughter Danielle and son Richie. A celebration of his life will be held at the South County Senior Center in Edmonds, WA on Saturday, June 6 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Seattle Children's Hospital.
