

Born August 28, 1940 in Vancouver BC, Bob passed away February 23, 2014 in Seattle, WA surrounded by family. He received his BS,MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. He spent 44 years working as an Aerospace Engineer for Boeing. In 1993 he was inducted into Boeing's Technical Fellowship Program, this honor is reserved for the top 1.5% of Boeing Employees and represents the best engineering and scientific minds in the Aerospace Industry.
Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who had a lifelong passion for learning, science fiction, food and books. In retirement, he and Jackie enjoyed traveling, photography, babysitting grand-dogs, golfing, reading, and "engineering" around the house. He was forever the scientist and never missed a chance to organize, mathematize or graph data.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Jackie, his children Tina, James and Marjorie, Jackie's children Tracey, Steve and Natalie; grandkids Johnny, Hayden and Dori; brother Ken and wife Flor; daughter in laws Debbie, Kelly and Diane; son in laws Mike and Jeff, and "little sister" Marsha. He was loved by all and will be missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the UW TBI Brain Injury Model System.
