
Robert Mee was born in 1963 in Seattle, WA. Bob grew up in Everett and attended Mariner High School where he was involved in FFA and horticulture. After graduating, he attended Everett Community College and later, Seattle Pacific University where he studied computer science.
Bob joined the Jaycees in 1993, and was a member of both the Seattle and Snohomish chapters. In 1995, Bob was the chairman of the Washington Jaycees project of the year, and received the Jerry Busse (Jaycee of the Year) Award. In 1996, while President of the Seattle Jaycees, he was awarded the United States Jaycees Charles R. Kulp Memorial Award as President of the Year. Bob was also awarded the Washington Jaycee Dignitary, JCI Senator, and US JC Ambassador awards.
Bob was also a member of the Evergreen State Fair Advisory Board for many years and enjoyed promoting and helping with the events at the fair each year.
Bob was always full of love and there was a light that shone from inside of him. He cared so much about people and he always managed to instill in people the confidence to be more than they thought they could be. He believed in trying to make the world a better place, and having some fun along the way.
Bob married Diane DeYoung in 2002, and they spent the next nine years traveling together. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Diane; his mother, Mira Mee, of Everett; his mother-in-law, Dorothy DeYoung, of Mill Creek, WA; and his sister-in-law, Terri DeYoung of Seattle, WA. Bob is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and an extended network of family and friends who will forever cherish their memories of a life well lived.
