Born September 30, 1923 in Belzoni, Mississippi; passed away surrounded by loved ones at home in Kent WA. January 17, 2005. Survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Teresa; sons, Ronnie and Larry Payton; daughter, Verna Grissette; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Sylvester Payton. Preceded in death by a son, Robert Payton Jr. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22; 12:00PM, Greater Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church 4055 38th Ave S. Seattle. Viewing will precede the service at 11:00AM. Burial, Abbey View Cemetery, Brier.
