

Robert ("Bob") Ralph Weston was born in Seattle, Washington on April 22, 1918 and died in Seattle on May 14, 2013 at the age of ninety five. Robert was married for sixty three years to his beloved wife, Polly Ann Burgert Weston until she passed away in 2005. Robert graduated a year ahead of his wife from Seattle's Garfield High School in 1938 and they were married in Couer'd'Alene, Idaho on July 5, 1941. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II primarily in the Pacific. Upon honorable discharge in 1945 Robert and Polly Ann settled in the Ballard neighborhood and purchased a home they have owned since 1947 and raised their two daughters. After World War II Robert found a job with the U.S. government and embarked on a career that lasted for thirty four years in various civilian military positions. Robert and Polly Ann were very active members of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Seattle, now renamed as the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church during fifty years of membership. Robert served as Deacon, Church School Superintendent and Elder at the church. He enjoyed teaching Spanish classes and sending class tuition donations to Presbyterian mission causes in Guatemala. After retirement, Robert and Polly Ann enjoyed traveling together visiting cities and places of historic interest on every continent except Antarctica. Robert was also active in donating both time and money to charitable causes including the Pioneer Association, American Legion, National World War II Veteran's Memorial, Pacific Aviation Museum, Pearl Harbor and World Trade Center Memorial Foundation.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Lynn Jones of Bend, Oregon and Sharman Leedom of Seattle, five (5) grandchildren; and seven (7) great grandchildren.
