Robin Lee, age 79, of Seattle, Washington passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Robin was born in West Seattle, Washington and returned there for the last 30 years of her life. She enjoyed living in the same neighborhood in which she had grown up and made fond childhood memories.
Robin left West Seattle with her family when she was 15 to move to Cali, Columbia, South America. After a short time, she returned to the U.S. to marry Warren Goetz, eventually moving to Lynnwood, WA where they had three daughters. The family later moved to Wenatchee, WA where after the divorce, Robin studied at the local college to become a bookkeeper. She worked as a bookkeeper at Migrant Health Family Planning, Crown Furniture, and Camp Fire Youth Organization in Wenatchee. After a second divorce, Robin returned to West Seattle where she cared for her aunt and then later, her father. She also volunteered in the gift shop of Providence Mount St. Vincent Hospital and as Treasurer of Cal-Mor Circle. She was known by the people that she met throughout her life as a caring, kind person who was easy to talk to, who had a talent and love for all things miniature. She was also known as a lover of cute, furry animals. She shared her home with precious first cat Fancy, and then later, Ginny Kitty, and for the last few years of her life she was kept company by a tabby named Madeline who has returned to living with Robin's granddaughter. She donated to ASPCA and other animal charities and also supported the Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, WA where she got to play with a white tiger cub named Almos, with whom she was completely smitten. She went to his birthday party at the zoo every year thereafter. The greatest joys of Robin's life, however, were her daughters and their families. She was Grammie to 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
