
Maysie was born August 11, 1916 to Thomas D. and Cora A. Foster. Maysie passed away February 4, 2001 in Mt. Vernon WA at the age of 84. Maysie was married to George E. Sanders November 14, 1936 after she graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1935. George preceded Maysie in death on April 2, 1999. Maysie was mainly a homemaker, but she went to Business College and worked several years for the State Tax Commission in Mt. Vernon. She also worked for J.C. Penney's in Sedro Woolley as a Bookkeeper and Frederick and Nelson in Seattle. Maysie also had a home business selling collectibles, dolls and jewelry. Maysie had 2 children, Richard Arnold who died in infancy and G. Michael, born September 20, 1940, who resides in Sedro Woolley. Maysie also has 3 grandsons, Michael, Patrick and Shawn; 3 great-grandchildren, Devin, Arielle Evelyn and Sean who reside in Moscow, Idaho. Maysie was proud of her heritage and spent many hours researching her ancestry. She joined the D.A.R. in 1981. Maysie is also survived by 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth Vander Linda, Hazel Raynor and Dixie Raymond Johnson; 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Paul Marilyn Foster, Glen Shirley Foster and John Foster. Numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers, Gene Foster and Norman Foster preceded her in death and also a sister, Alice Foster at age 8. George and Maysie were married 62 years; their early lives were filled with many outings on their boat and hunting for antiques. They were so proud of her lovely possessions. A private cryptside service for Maysie to be held Saturday, February 10, 2001; Washelli Cemetery 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle.
