Sharon Ann McKenzie

Sharon Ann McKenzie was born September 27, 1944, in Seattle, Washington and died suddenly at home on July 22, 2023. She is survived by her husband Tim McKenzie, daughter Traci, son Mark and his wife Veronika, granddaughter Elizabeth, and brother Bob Duignan.

Sharon was a lifelong resident of Ballard with the exception of 4 years living in California. Sharon graduated from Ballard High School in 1962. She met Tim while he was stationed in Seattle with U.S. Coast Guard. They married and moved to the bay area in northern California. After a stay in California, where their two children were born, they returned to live near her childhood home.

Sharon was a member of the Northwest Christian Church for her entire life in Seattle. A dedicated volunteer at the church she touched the lives of every member of the congregation. She also spent twenty years a volunteer at the Ballard Food Bank. She put others first and always made time to help anyone in need. She is dearly loved by family and friends and will be missed as she embarks on her next journey.

Sharon was laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Seattle.

A celebration of life memorial at Sharon's church will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Northwest Christian Church, 7503 18th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98117.
