Tane Elise Cederberg

Tane passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2014 with her family and friends by her side.

Tane was a fighter, tackling her cancer head on and bouncing back after each treatment more determined than ever, never letting it slow her down or define her life. Her sheer will and positive attitude kept her with us longer than we had dared to hope, and in all that time Tane never complained or felt sorry for herself. She was our hero and our inspiration.

An avid sports fan, Tane loved cheering on the Seahawks and the Mariners. You could count on listening to sports radio if you were in a car with Tane and every Sunday during football season was spent watching the Hawks with her family and friends. She enjoyed hiking and the outdoors. She loved going to dinner with friends, or catching a movie with her mom. With Tane, every day was to be enjoyed to the fullest.

Tane loved her job at Microsoft, where she worked for the past 17 years. She thrived on the energy she got from her work and she was forever grateful for the encouragement and support she received from her friends and co-workers at Microsoft.

Tane's greatest enjoyment in life came from time spent with her family and friends. Tane was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind her mom, Troanne, her sister and best friend, Tara Staback, brothers Richard (Sara) and Tro Cederberg, nephew Evan Staback and nieces Lauren Staback and Paitynn Cederberg of whom she was so proud, as well as her aunt Jill, uncle Dennis, cousins Denae, Xan, Grace, friends Chris, Jill, Sarah, plus lifelong friends and co-workers too numerous to count. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard.

Tane, we will always remember your beautiful smile, your generous and feisty spirit, your fun loving and positive attitude, your unconditional love and support. Our lives are richer for having you in it and you will always be in our hearts.

Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 24th at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave North, Seattle, WA 98133.
