

Timoteo, fondly known as “Jun,” was born in Batangas, Philippines on January 24, 1937 to Salud De Las Alas and Timoteo De Las Alas, Sr. He graduated from University of the East in Manila, Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting. On May 2, 1965, he married Felisa Castillo. They welcomed their first child, Cynthia, on December 19, 1965. A few years later, they had their first and only son, Rolando, on April 14, 1967. Finally, their family became complete during the birth of their youngest daughter, Belinda, on May 26, 1968. Jun’s family was the most important part of his life. He emigrated with his wife to Seattle, WA in 2005, where he lived out the rest of his retirement years.
Jun was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing competitively. He was also an excellent administrator and beloved boss at his workplace, the National Housing Authority. Throughout his long life, his faith in God never wavered. His deep devotion to the Catholic faith and to his family & friends were one of his proudest accomplishments.
Jun will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Felisa (née Castillo); his children, Cynthia, Rolando, and Belinda; his daughter-in-law, Marevic; his sons-in law, Roy and Manuel; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jordan), Rojine (Joshua), and Miguel; and his great-granddaughter, Josefina.
A public viewing is scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 followed by a service at noon. This will be held at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home & Cemetery at 11111 Aurora Ave N Seattle, WA. 98133. Father Reynaldo Yu will officiate. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered during that time. Jun’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
