Whitfield, Germaine Harris, and Correy Garrison, a sister, Starshea Harris, and the man he called ?Dad,? Harold Russell. He continued his education at the College of Southern Idaho, where he led his team to many victories. Tony transferred to Washington State University to study Criminal Justice and led the 1994 ?Cinderella? team to the NCAA tournament. Tony?s gift from God was an amazing ability to play basketball, which he used to the best of his abilities by continuing his career playing professional basketball in many different countries. Tony led his 2004 Unitri Brazil Team to a championship and was adored by all. Tony retired from basketball in 2005 and began his next chapter in life, family and working with troubled youth. Tony decided to return to school to finish his bachelor?s degree in Human Services at the University of Phoenix. He will be awarded a Posthumous Degree in June with his classmates. Tony?s infectious smile and big brown eyes touched so many people across the world. He was a role model and had a heart of gold. He loved working with the children at Echo Glen Children?s Center because he knew most of their families and felt he could help them change their lives and be something more. He was an inspiration to many family members and friends. Tony had many passions, but those that meant the most to him were family, fishing, basketball, and playing dominoes. He was a loyal and committed husband, father, family member, and friend. For all those who knew Tony, they knew of his gentle spirit that made him a peacemaker, a mediator, and a problem-solver. Tony took great pride in being a husband and father. For those who had the privilege of being touched by Tony and who loved and respected him, know that he will live on in his children and never be forgotten.
