Vernon Charles Johnston, age 88, of Lynnwood, Washington passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born on October 15, 1935 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Austin and Edna Johnston. Vern's family moved to Garfield, Washington when he was 6 years old and after high school graduation and service in the armed forces, he married Marlene Joan Bryant on November 18, 1955. Vern is survived by Marlene, their 4 children (Patty, Kevin, Janet, Neil), 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be August 29th at 10am at Evergreen-Washilli Cemetery in Seattle and 1pm at New Hope Christian Church in South Everett.
