I’m wading through memories as through photographs and they make me cry. I remember her as someone who often found my tender spots and left me rummaging for defenses. I was as unmatched with her here as I was on a racketball court.  She just kind of always had me beat. I was blessed to know her. I’d love to believe she’s in some easy place now with no more battles to fight and no more impossible puzzles to try to make sense of. I wish I could wrap my arms around one more time.

I just learned about Vicki's passing. Vicki was my racquetball coach back in the early 1980s. She had a huge influence on both my racquetball game and my personal life. Vicki, Bethany, Fred, Josie and others in Vicki's circle of friends all were so good to me and this time of my life created some of my fondest memories. 

Vicki was a very special person and although we only stayed in touch occasionally  I thought of her often and knew that I was lucky to have her in my live. 

Vicki will be deeply missed.

Alzheimer is a thief. It takes away the person we know in love and leaves the mind in chaos that lashes out in confused frustration.

We always knew her as Dot Dash. We first met Dot when her mail was delivered to our home—we both lived in 2115, just on different streets. We hit it off immediately and became close friends soon after.

Living across from the p-patch where she poured in so much work and love, Dot became an almost daily part of our lives—an integral piece of the view from our living room window. Many days we would walk over to chat about gardens, people, and life. Many days she would visit us for a  conversation, a meal, or lend a hand with a project around our home. She was curious, capable, and always ready to help. No single person put more heart and effort into that garden. 

After we moved out of the neighborhood a few years ago, she visited, or joined us for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We will always remember Dot as a loving, caring person who met the world with deep practicality and native habit of making our community a better place. She will be remembered, and missed.

My last memory is so visual.  I saw her @ the ppatch.  She wasn't sure who I was, until she got closer ( I had a mask & hat on) She then had a wide smile & said Olah its YOU  & walked up & embraced me.  I cat sat for Dot way b4 the ppatch was determined.  She loved her cat. Im so glad to have this last memory of her.

I'm saddened to learn that Dot passed away on August 3rd.  She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and on July 24th, she fell down and had a brain bleed and never came back.  The Dot of the past year is not the Dot we all came to rely on over the past 12+ years of LSPP existence.

She was the guardian angel of Licton Springs P-Patch, making it the beautiful garden that we know today.  She devoted countless hours creating new spaces to plant flowers.  She created the rockery along the 92nd St sidewalk, the berms back by the bee hive location, the blueberries and flowers on the hillside; all are extensions of Dot's green thumbs.  She generously helped gardeners, new or old, who appreciated her capable assistance, whether it was tilling an overgrown plot or planting starts.  And she could fix anything!

Everywhere you look in the garden is a gift from Dot's skills and tireless energy.

Your uncle Jack and I always enjoyed your visits when you came to Kuna to visit your good friends. When we received the call that you were gone Uncle Jack said he had been thinking about calling you about something out back that you two had discussed during your last visit - we will sure miss your visits.

We were blessed to be Vicki’s nextdoor neighbors for many years. She was the loveliest neighbor you could hope for. She kept the property beautiful with her green thumb, shared the bounty of her vegetable garden, delighted in our children, and always had a moment to stop and chat. She had a genuinely caring presence and always had thoughtful words and kind smiles to share. We will miss Vicki and our whole community will feel the absence of her gifts that beautified her world.

Vicki was my cousin on my Dads side. I always knew her as VickiLynn. Yah I know 2 words, but that wasn't how you said it. I think it's one of those Missouri things. My Dad and her Grandpa we're brothers. Dad came west but Uncle Bill seemed to always call Missouri  home. Hence Vicki Lynn but said as 1 word
A couple of the times they were living in California her Mom put her on the train to Boise to spend the summer.  The last time must have been 67 the 1st time Sound of Silence came out. I was so impressed, she had the 45 and we played it over and over and. ..and she got to (haha) brush cows and braid their tails for the fair for my 4H. I definitely got the better  end of that experience.  
They ended up back in Idaho in our high school years.  She had a little Fiat with suicide doors.  She showed up at the house one day and they were headed to Pocatello to see the Guess Who and had room for 1 more.  OMG! Alice was going  to let her spend the night in a  motel and go to a concert. (Weren't alot of them especially in Idaho back then)  As bad as I wanted to go I didn't even call my Mom and ask. When she got home from work I told her VickiLynn had  stopped by and she goes well why didn't you call I'd of told you where some money was at.  *^#$!#!
Oh the tales of high school! 
She knew how to have fun.  Took both of us awhile to figure out all that fun was a problem.
We somewhat kept in touch over the years, watched her play tournaments when she came to Boise, or family reunions. 
Then when she was going to school for her medical stuff she was able to spend a little more time in Idaho and she always would reach out to get together for lunch.  We were in search of Finger Steaks. The Torch had the best finger steaks around, but the new owners painted it purple and it wasn't finger steaks they were selling. So the hunt was on.. Over the years we'd narrowed it down to 2.
 I'll truly miss you. I'll hit the Westside in your honor.

Dot was the ray of sunshine in our lives that we didn't know we were missing until she arrived at Broadview last summer.  What an incredible person she was!  Always first out to check the landscape and say good morning.  I can hear her voice as she always would greet me with "Cor-eeeen, you're heeeeeeere!".   It was a humble pleasure to spend time and listen to stories, or talk about the most recent irritation in her world.  She was an extraordinary example of  resilience and living life on your own terms.  I am so grateful to have known her and miss her terribly.

Vicki “Dot”Panzeri had a rich and eclectic life. In the 70s She started to play racquetball at Fort Lewis in Tacoma where her dad was stationed in the army and she was just out of high school. During that time she played softball for the BJ’s All-Stars and she is in the Hall of Fame in the Tacoma recreation. She played professional racquetball all through the 70s and at one point was number two in the nation. In 1975 she went to Western Washington university and played basketball and she received her varsity letter as part of the title IX 50th celebration. She ran her own business for 25 years called odd jobs AWED and she did meticulous and artistic finish work. She was a certified massage therapist and had a private practice for decades. She was a certified home health giver, and worked for an agency and had many clients over the years. She was also a Reiki healer. Her last job was as a medical equipment electrician for Swedish hospital. Her certificate was from North College in Seattle. She was super involved in the P-patch at North College, where everyone knew her as Dot. She loved to garden. She chose the name Dot because she went to the rat city rollers summer camp and you had to have a roller derby name. She picked Dot Dash because she’s little and fast. She lived in the Green Lake area for 30 years and in 2024 She moved into DSHS housing and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. July 24 2025 she fell down and hit her head she had a brain bleed which she never came back from. She was 71 years old. She was survived by five sisters and one older brother and some dear friends.

We had alot of fun in the many years we've been friends. You were always game to to do anything I wanted to do when you came to visit. We hiked and went for many walks. We saw a huge bear together as well as some owls. You always made our property look more beautiful than when you arrived. You were clean and sober for many years. You said if you ever got sick to bring you a joint. Sorry Vicki . You left took quick. I love you! See you soon!

Vicki became known as Dot because  she went to the Rat city roller derby summer camp and you have to have a roller derby name and she called herself Dot Dash .- Because she’s little fast!

Vicki a.k.a. Dot brought beauty to the earth with her hands and her delightful spirit. There is a garden on the other side that she better for her being there.
