Virginia was born in Oregon City, Oregon on February 1, 1940. The
youngest of seven children born to Raymond Bushbaum and Margaret Anna
Malsam. She was raised in Tualatin, Oregon, she graduated from Tigard
High School in 1958.
Married Phillip Aarron King, March 4, 1961 in Selma, Alabama. Phillip
and Virginia started their adventure together in Seattle. Living in
Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Oregon, raising six children along the
way, coming back full circle to settle in Seattle, 23 years ago. They
were everything to each other and shared the love of the Lord.
On June 24, 1992 she began work at the Office of Administrative
Hearings in Seattle, where she served as the Office Support
Supervisor. Virginia retired on September 30, 2005 to be with Phillip.
She leaves her loving memories to her brother Joseph Bushbaum, of
Tualatin, Oregon. Sisters, Leona Bushbaum, of Cornelius, Oregon.
Martha McNamee, of Vernonia, Oregon. Florence Chaney, of Gresham,
Oregon, and twins Dolores Morris, of Cornelius, Oregon and Doris
Beckette, of Newport, Oregon. Her favorite niece Cheri Brown, of
McMinnville, Oregon. Daughters, Lora and (Lindsey) Cluck, of Everett,
Washington. Lola and (Gery) Dingman, of Kodak, Tennessee. Lorna and
(Mike) Lee, of Everett, Washington. Lena and (Toby) Chenault, of
Hubbard, Oregon. Sons, Phillip King Jr and Aarron Phillip King, of
Everett, Washington. Fifteen grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Kevin,
Amanda, Derek, Eric, Tim, Becki, Madison, Rachael, Katie, Ginny,
Megan, Piper and Miley. With another on the way. Five great
grandchildren, Justin, Cameron, Hailey, Zayante and Ryder. And her
sweet poodle, Snow White.
Mom loved to crochet, making Quilts and Barbie clothes for her
granddaughters. Mom loved to make lists. She enjoyed working on her
photos and genealogy. She gave to the 700 Club and tithing to her
Church, Open Door Baptist Church in Lynnwood, Washington, where she
recently became a member. Mom always looked for the good in everyone.
Her laughter was contagious, her smile could light up a room and when
she sang, it was like listening to the angels.
Her loving husband, Phillip, passed away from a long battle with
dementia on May 9, 2013. During the time of his illness, Virginia
gained another daughter Elsa, who helped care for Phillip. Virginia
thought the world of her and was so thankful for her laughter and
companionship.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her Parents, Raymond, who
passed away in 1983 and Margaret, in 1986. Godfather, Clarence Brazil,
in 1989. And her loving sister in law, Rosemary Bushbaum who passed
away in 2004. We were Blessed to have you has our Mom and we will miss
you everyday.
