
Virginia passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Nov. 13th, at the age of 91, after a very brief illness. She was born in Seattle on Oct. 9th, 1918, the only child of Mrs. Harry Price Thompson (Yenter). She graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle in 1936 where she met her future husband, Bill Alan Rose. She married Bill in Seattle on Sept. 8th, 1939. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Bill's death in 1998. She moved extensively in her early years of marriage as a result of Bill's service in the Navy in World War II and Korea. They finally settled in Seattle in 1951. They moved to Chimacum, WA. on Hoods Canal in 1973 into a house that was built by Bill. They returned in 1979 to live in Seattle.
Virginia and Bill were both very active in the Nile Temple and the Seattle Commodores. They traveled to many exotic locations with lifelong friends during their many years of a very happy marriage. She was devoted to her family and always exhibited a kind and caring way. She was the pillar of the family and never wavered in loving her childen, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed immensely the simple things in life, such as tending to her rose garden, feeding the birds and her numerous trips to Lake Cavanaugh. Virginia will be thought of often and missed greatly by her extended family and friends.
She is survived by sons, Dennis, Tim and daughter, Susan (Muzzy), granchildren Amy (McDaniel), Melissa (Baker), Allison (Ehrlichman), Michael and great grandchildren, Kobe, Kaden, Kalvyn, Kami Rose and Karson (McDaniel).
