

Wayne Robert Pomerville, passed away March 10, 2009, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the age of 58. He was born January 29, 1951, in Tacoma, WA, but has been a resident of Everett for 21 years. After graduating Queen Anne High School in 1969, Wayne started a career with Burlington Northern Railroad. He worked for BSNF for 39 years, most recently as a locomotive foreman at the Interbay diesel facility. He enjoyed racing cars at the Monroe Speedway for 10 years and enjoyed classic cars. Wayne was a lifetime avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping and fishing around the state with f amily and friends. He also enjoyed helping family, friends and neighbors with repairs and building projects. Wayne was preceded in death by his son David Jeffrey, father Joseph, step-father Arlie Head, brother Russell Head and his son Erik. He is survived by wife JoAnna of 24 years, sons Robert Wayne and Charles Wayne, daughter Stephanie Renee and best friend in the whole world, his grand-daughter Aubrey. Also survived by his mother Martha, sister Susan and brothers Gerald and Warren and many special nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home (11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle), Sunday, March 15, 2009. Visitation will be held starting at 10:00am.
