WILLIAM R. BATES, 58, passed away June 10, 2003 at his home in Seattle. He was born in Seattle on August 29, 1944. Bill served in the United States Army for six years during the Vietnam era, receiving the Purple Heart during his tour. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 3063, Seattle. He is survived by his sisters Suzette Larry Taylor, Babette John Hays and Annette Rich Urness. Visitation will be Monday, June 16, from 10am-8pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 16, 2003 at 2:30pm and will be conducted at Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle.
