
Passed away Nov. 15, 2004 peacefully in Seattle, Wa, where he was born on April 25th, 1911.William attended the Univ. of Washington earning a B.S. in Forestry. Later Masters in Forestry from Yale Univ. Enlisted in the US Army becoming 1st Lt. Platoon leader in the 10th Mountain Division with service in Italy. Following the World War II, he joined William A. Eastman & Co. Inc. He was a consulting Forester serving clients in matters in the Western US, Bahamas, Central America, Alaska and Jamaica. He belonged to the 10th Mt. Division Alumni Assoc., Society of American Foresters, American Forestry Assoc. and was honored to be named honorary Forester of the U of W Forest Alumni Assoc. 1969. He was an active Mason with life memberships in Arcana #87, F & AM, Seattle Scottish Rite 33rd Degree, Oriental #19 Royal Arch Chapter, Seattle Commandry #2, Knight Templars, Red Cross of Constantine and Nile Temple Shrine. Survived by his wife Alice of 52 years, son William A. Linda Eastman, III, daughter Janis M. Eastman; grandchildren Jason and Benjamin Eastman and sister Geraldine Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
