Winona Mary Robertson

August 26, 1953 - September 25, 2009

My beloved wife and best friend "Nona" past away suddenly on September 25, 2009, after 20 years together (18 of that being married). She will be sorely missed by her "family" Scotty Robertson, husband and best friend and her "kidcats", Gigi, Bosco, Whiner and Blackie.

Winona was born in Wichita Kansas on August 26, 1953 to parents Eugene and Royella Greenwell and brother Gene Greenwell. The family moved to Washington State and resided in Bothell after her father was transferred to the Boeing plant in Everett, Washington. Winona finshed her high school education and a couple of years of community college.

I met Winona in the fall of 1989 and we were married on August 16, 1991 in Reno, Nevada. We bought a home in Hollyhills (Bothell) and set up house for our critters. At that time we had a dog and two cats. Our "family" grew over time as we lost some of our pets to old age, and replaced the empty void with newly adopted kittys, and a new adopted puppy; at one time we had one dog and three indoor kitties.

Winona was a devoted animal lover; she always had time for her "kids" (dog & cats). Her favorite pastime was just to be home with her animals. While reading mystery novels or playing games on-line while listening to country western music, and of course, playing bingo on Saturday mornings.

Winona had worked as a bartender, manufacturing production lead, in warehousing, and inventory control, the latter being employed at McLendon Hardware in Woodinville as inventory control specialist for 2 ½ years. She thoroughly enjoyed working with all her co-workers as well as the customers who came into McLendon Hardware.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Scotty" Robertson; brother, Gene Greenwell; sisters-in-law Debbie Greenwell, Lynda Robertson, Diane Robertson, Debbie Robertson; brothers-in-law Robbie Robertson, Mike Robertson, Sam Robertson, and Jeff Guidry; her Aunt Betty and Uncle Gene; cousins Jeanette and Judy; and many nieces and nephews and many friends of the family.
