Yvonne Kay FEARING

15 enero , 194128 julio , 2020

Yvonne Kay Fearing (“Kay”), age 79, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at home in Shoreline, Washington on July 28, 2020.

Kay was born to Ed and Hattie Smith in Outlook, Washington on January 15, 1941. She later married Buford, her life long husband of 61 years, in 1959. They eventually settled in Shoreline where they raised their two daughters, Kim and Kelly. In spite of many health challenges over her lifetime, she created a successful cottage business, Rainy Day Friends, and sold her adorable home decorations, mainly hand-sewn stuffed Santas, snowmen, and other dolls. She loved selling these at craft bazaars and shops. Her creativity took many forms in her life, including cooking, work with ceramics, a beautifully decorated home, and involvement with church activities.

She loved visiting the Oregon Coast every summer for many years and had many favorite spots to visit there with each trip. Her love for Jesus was an important part of her life and she tried to make the most of every opportunity to talk with those in need of hope wherever she went.

I will miss my mom more than words can express. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived her life. She instilled in me at an early age the importance of walking closely with The Lord and has always been a spiritual mentor and guide to me. I was so blessed to have her as my mom, and will miss our long conversations about Heaven and all that awaits us! I look forward to the day that I see her in her perfected body and free from all the pain brought on by a fallen world. She is finally home with her Lord and Savior!
