Antonio G Martinez

Antonio G. Martinez passed away at home on January 3, 2014 at the age of 72. He was born in Seguin, TX to Guadalupe and Dora Martinez on July 5, 1941. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Navy. Antonio was an avid San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was also a member of La Trinidad United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #245.

Antonio is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Martinez; children, Christy Arias and husband Willie and Tony Martinez and girlfriend Tonya Hawkins; 6 grandchildren, Willie Arias Jr., Michael Martinez, Justin Martinez, Nicholas Martinez, Erika Flores and Matthew Martinez; 8 great grandchildren, Julianna, Jesse, Saryna, Bishop, Ian, J.J., Zoe and Noah; father, Guadalupe Martinez; siblings, Bishop Joel Martinez and wife Raquel, Juan Martinez and wife Joann and Amanda Rosa and her husband Jesse.

A visitation will be held on Monday at Goetz Funeral Home from 1-7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. The family will be present at 5pm to receive friends and family. A funeral service will be held at La Trinidad United Methodist Church, 306 E. Gonzales St, at 10 am on Tuesday January 7, 2014 followed by burial at San Geronimo Cemetery where military honors will be presented.
