Mrs Dorothy Engelke

Dorothy Frances Engelke passed away on March 29th at the age of 85. She was a lifelong resident of Seguin, born on July 30, 1928 to John Franks and Julia Enck. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors but most of she will be remembered as a good cook. She retired from Saegert Middle School after 22 years as the school secretary. She was also an active member of Cross Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Engelke; son, Jimmie Engelke and daughter-in-law, Liz Engelke.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons: John Engelke of Seguin and Jerry Engelke and wife Carol of Boerne; her grandchildren, Stewart Engelke and wife Courtney and their three children, Tyler, Audrey, and Emily; Cassie Heidgerken and husband John, Karson Engelke, Sherman Engelke and fiancé Tina Myers and Suzanne Catchings and her husband Jason and their children Kylie and Chase.

Visitation will be held at Goetz Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be at Cross Church on Wednesday, April 2nd beginning at 2 pm with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Pallberers will be Harry Engelke, Thomas Huth, Roy Gene Huth, Harold Alves, David Schneider and Randy Staats
