

He proudly served in the United States Army and among his several decorations he was awarded the Korean Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge for active ground combat. He was a carpenter and worked many years locally as a commercial builder.
He is survived by his brothers, Gonzalo Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Ignacio Rodriguez and wife Priscilla of Kyle, TX; sister, Elvira Martinez of Elgin, TX, Frances Garcia of Tyler, TX and Maria Sepulveda and husband Arthur of San Antonio; he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carmen Martinez; and Brother Margarito Rodriguez.
Public visitation will begin 5:00 PM Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin at Goetz Funeral Home on Thursday at 8:00 AM and continue until 8:30 when the service departs in procession to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held 9:00 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2016 with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
