Elizabeth Garcia

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Elizabeth Garcia, born on August 9, 1946 was called to be with the Lord on June 27, 2010 at the age of 63. She was preceded in death by her parents Concepcion B. Garcia and Emilia Z. Hernandez, step-father Antonio Hernandez, step-sister Modesta Barrera, and nieces Regina Montague and Emilia Arredondo.

Survivors include daughters Kathleen Garcia and husband Manuel of San Marcos, TX, and Lisa Gutierrez of Helotes, TX; loving companion Raymond Hernandez; sisters Anna Montague of Bandera, TX and Dora Ancira and husband Daniel of Austin, TX; step-sisters Janie Arias, Mary Amador, Connie Lara, Gloria Meredith and Olga Hodge; step-brother Eleazar Hernandez; grandchildren Manuel Robert Garcia (Chloe), Adrianna and Matthew Gutierrez and a great-grandson Richard Coles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 5-9 pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Goetz Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10am on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Goetz Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Jason Arredondo, Paul Montague, Moses Ancira, Cyrus Montague, Manuel Robert Garcia and Joe David Lopez. Honorary pall bearers will be Adrianna Gutierrez, Matthew Gutierrez, Yvette Ancira, Dolores Ramirez, Janie Marie Garcia and Irene Medrano.
