

Grady Gene Clark passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Azle, Texas at the age of 93. He was born in Ryan, Oklahoma on August 15, 1922 to Mortimer Morgan and Nellie Mae (Riddles) Clark.
Grady was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Marilyn Joy (Bailey) Clark and infant son Gary Gene Clark, his second wife of 27 years, Thelma Jean (Harvey) Clark, step son, Rusty Quinton and his siblings Douglas Clark, Earl Clark, Ruby Clark West and Mildred Clark Colley.
He is survived by his son, Davied Israel and wife Isis; his step children, Laura Pollan and husband Phil, Cindy Woods and husband James and Albert Henry (Hank) Quinton. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren: Ocean Hammond, Seth Israel, Enoch Israel, Yesod Israel, Nirvanah Israel, Asher Israel and Norea Israel; Byron Pollan and wife Erin, Jason Pollan and fiancé Amber Reeder, Hollie Szamosfalvi and husband Jozsef, Christopher Pollan; Aaron Foley, Jill Foley, Teah Nason and husband Joshua, R. Scott Foley and wife Christie, Tyler Foley and 18 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who found him to be a favorite uncle. He is survived by his youngest sister, Barbara Clark Komp.
He was gentle and loving to all around him. He was kind, generous, humble, compassionate and considerate to others. We will miss the twinkle in his eye and the welcoming smile on his face, which endeared all that knew him. He was social and fun loving and had a great sense of humor. Grady was a WWll Army Veteran serving at Brooke General Hospital in San Antonio, where he learned the skills of an X-Ray technician. He continued in this profession at Veterans Administration in San Antonio, retiring after 30 years. After retirement he took a position caring for the LDS Church building in East San Antonio where he maintained the lawns and building for 10 years before moving to Seguin where he labored to build a home in the country, a dream he had for a long time. He enjoyed ranching, working with wood and watching the Spurs. He has resided in Seguin for the last 30 years with the exception of the last several weeks of his life, in which he lived with family in Azle, TX after the death of his wife this February.
He loved his Heavenly Father and his Savior Jesus Christ and strived to please them in the life he lived. He accepted many positions in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was loved by his church family. In their later years he and his late wife served together as Temple Workers for 17 years.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:00 pm- 8:30pm. The family will receive guests Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 9:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a service to begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home.
