

Josephine Grein-Glenewinkel died April 18, 2011 at the age of 91. A visitation will be held at Goetz Memorial Chapel Wednesday, April 20 from 5:30-7 pm. A rosary will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday April 21, at 11 am with a funeral mass at 11:30 am with Msgr. Dennis Darilek presiding. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Todd Glenewinkle, Gregory Grein, Chad Dietz, Grant Glenewinkel, James Foster and Mark Foster.
Mrs. Glenewinkel was born on April 5, 1920 in Guadalupe County to Alfred and Hilda Muehl-Grein. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and St. Ann Circle.
Survivors include her sons Lynn Glenewinkel and wife Clarissa, Michael Glenewinkel and wife Cindy, Paul Glenewinkel; daughters Rebecca Dietz and husband Wayne, Susan Kees and Ann Hartmann and husband Jeff; brother George Grein; sister Erna Winsauer; grandchildren Elizabeth Glenewinkel, Chad Dietz, Stacy Foster, Cheuran Blankenship, Todd Glenewinkel, Wendy Elder, Shelly McDermott, Lauren Kees, Grace Glenewinkel, Grant Glenewinkel, Emma Hartmann and Lily Hartmann; great-grandchildren Margot Johnson, Colby Foster, Megan Foster, James Foster, Tanner Dietz, Colton Dietz, Connor Blankenship, Madison Blankenship and Gigi Glenewinkel.
Mrs. Glenewinkel was preceded in death by her husband Henry Glenewinkel; brother Van Grein; sister Adolphinia Kirchner and daughter-in-law Leta Glenewinkel.
The family suggest memorials be made to Guadalupe Regional Hospice, St. James Catholic Church or to St. James School Library.
