Mary H Smith

Mary Helen Smith went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 28, 2014 Surrounded by family. Mary was born to Fred and Emma Kate (Freeland) Smith in Nixon, Texas on October 21, 1943 and was one of seven children. She was a loving mother of six, grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 18. Her life was dedicated to the service of others, both through her career as a nurse and as an avid volunteer. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Kate, her brothers Freddie Joseph Smith Jr. and Howard Wesley Smith and her grandson Aubrey David “Bubba” Wolf.

Mary will always be in the hearts of her children, Charles Arthur Wolf and wife Linda Wolf, Dezorah Anne Perkovich, Beverly Diane Maricle and husband Steven Maricle, Helen Joann Petty, Wesley James Wolf and wife Stella Wolf and Jesse Glenn Wolf and wife Samantha Wolf. She will also be missed by her siblings Kathryn Wilkerson, Deborah Alice Jamison, John Robert Smith and William Eugene Smith.

Please join Mary’s family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm in the Goetz Memorial Chapel at Goetz Funeral Home 713 North Austin Street, Seguin, Texas. Please return to Goetz Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:00 for Mary’s funeral service officiated by Karen Tudor from the Unity Church of New Braunfels with burial following at Nixon Cemetery on US 87 East in Nixon Texas.
