

Noah Justin Gomez, a big man with a big heart who lived his motto, “High on Life”, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the early age of 27 at home in San Antonio from complication of the flu. Noah loved his family and brought a bright light wherever he was. Noah was preceded in death by his grandmother Maria Cruz Rodriguez in 2007. Friends and family are invited to “ A Gathering of Friends” at Goetz Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5-9 pm with a rosary service at 7:00 pm officiated by Frances Luna. Guests are invited to bring a small memento of Noah’s life to share and place on his memory table during the gathering. A Memorial Mass will be held for Noah at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 409 W. Krezdorn St. in Seguin on Friday February 6, 2015 at 10:00 am with interment of his cremated remains following at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery on East Walnut Street in Seguin.
Noah was born in Seguin, Texas on Sunday, May 10, 1987 to Frank and Sylvia (Rodriguez) Gomez. He was raised in the Geronimo area and attended school with his brothers in Geronimo graduating “Class of 2006” from Navarro high school. Noah loved football, was very social and uninhibited, often being labeled as the class clown. While attending Navarro high school, he played defense for Panther Varsity football. He was very outspoken, loved to dance, “his own silly dance”, and made a point to include everybody in his adventures. There was never a more positive, caring young man. Noah loved to spend time with his family and often visited Savannah’s Snacks and Snow Cones in Seguin, to help his family’s business and share in the delights. He treasured his mother’s cooking and often made funny excuses to come home and eat her cuisine. Noah was very talented, loved to draw and enjoyed working. Before moving to San Antonio; Noah worked at Kirby’s Korner, Subway and with his brothers at Lube’s Cafeteria. Upon moving to San Antonio, he worked for Goodwill Industries as a sorter for four years, and then a year ago he joined Direct TV as a telephone sales representative where he utilized his clever wit and bright demeanor to bring joy his clients. Noah’s big heart lead him down many paths and he leaves behind many friends.
Noah is survived by his loving fiancée Samantha Gutierrez, his mother and father Sylvia and Frank Gomez, his brothers Mark Rodriguez and Jacob Gomez and his wife Dolores Gonzales, his nephew Brian Gomez and his niece Savannah Gomez.
