Sallie "Pat" Morgan

Sallie R. "Pat" (Gillespie) Zercher Morgan of Seguin, Texas passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was 83. She was born July 15, 1929 to Sallie and Lynus Gillespie in Millett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and Raymond Gillespie, husbands Jack Zercher, Sr. and William E. Morgan and son, Jack Zercher, Jr.

She is survived by grandchildren (that she raised as her own) Zaundra Ellis and husband, Doug, Judith Ursitti and husband, Andy; step-grandchildren Chad Morgan and wife, Kathy and Skip Trotter; great grandchildren Christina Cowey, Erin Preuss, Andy Preuss, Amy Ursitti, Jack Ursitti, and Sam Ellis; and great-great grandchildren Cammie and Gunner. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Tish, Carol, Pat, Rhonda, Nancy and Dr. Sullivan for their exceptional loving care during her final days.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Edwards, Charles Gillespie, Raymond Gillespie, Jr. and Jay Zercher, Jr. Pallbearers are Andy Preuss, Travis Chad Morgan, Jimmy Rosas, Ryan Jahns, Danny Preuss and Lynn Gillespie.

Visitation will take place at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin on Wednesday, August 8 from 5-9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 9 at 11 am at Hillcrest Church in Seguin. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her honor to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.
