

“Jean”
Jean Clark passed away on Saturday February 13, 2016 at the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin at the age of 87. She was born in Stockdale, Texas on September 4, 1928 to Robert Coleman & Claudia “Iva” (Smith) Harvey. She was proud native Texan through and through. She could trace her linage to the first settlers of Gonzales prior to the Texas Revolution. She loved the Lord and was exceptionally dedicated to her family and her loving husband, Grady.
Friends and family are invited for calling hours on Thursday, February18, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Goetz Funeral Home, 713 N. Austin Street, Seguin. There will also be a 10:00 am viewing followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am Friday, February 19th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1111 East College Street, Seguin, Texas. Funeral services will be officiated by Bishop Brad Drollinger.
Jean graduated from Nixon High School. She was adventurous, liked to travel, and see and experience new things. She married and moved to the Portland, Oregon area for 6 years and returned to Texas as soon as she could. Later in life she met and married Grady Clark. They were married in May of 1989 at the LDS Temple in Dallas, Texas and these last 27 years with him were the happiest of her life. She was feisty and loved spending time with her friends. She loved her dogs, serving in her church, the scriptures, crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles and chocolate. She often had a giant Mr. Goodbar or Tootsie roll within grasp. She was devoted to her family. Even through life’s challenges, she always remained quiet, compassionate, considerate, easygoing and attentive. She never complained or spoke ill of others, unless she got behind the wheel where she utilized many of her unique idioms. She was a delight to her friends and family, kind and humorous. She liked to dress well, was always well put together and in style. Jean was preceded in death by her son Lindy “Rusty” Quinton and her sister and best friend, Irene Mercier.
Jean is survived by her “sweetheart” Grady Clark, her daughters Laura Pollan and husband Phil; Cindy Woods and husband James and her son Albert H. “Hank” Quinton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Byron Pollan and wife Erin; Jason Pollan and fiancé’ Amber Reeder; Hollie Szamosfalvi and husband Jozsef; Christopher Pollan; Aaron Foley; Jill Foley, Teah Nason and husband Joshua; R. Scott Foley and wife Christie; and Tyler Foley and wife Racheal. Her memory will also be held by her great-grandchildren: Carter, Tyler and Ally Pollan; Sadie, Jozsef and Walker Szamosfalvi; Dallin, Carter and Miley Nason; Olivia Foley, and nephew John C. Mercier.
