Velva Mae Schneider

Velva M. Eckols Schneider passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the age of 93 in Seguin, Texas. She was born on February 9, 1920 in Bexar County to S. L. Eckols and Elma Elcy Cockrill. Velva married Walter Schneider on July 3, 1937 in Guadalupe County, Texas.

She is survived by her daughters, Bettie Mount (Charles), Peggy Warncke and Mary Reiland (Melvin); Grandchildren, Deanne Abrameit (Ricky), Dixie Taylor, Clay Mount (Sheryl), Shelly Beicker (David), Y’vette Jones (Alex), Michael Reiland (Elise), Matthew Reiland (Ginger), Marcus Reiland (Christi) and Mandy Jenner (James); 22 Great-grandchildren and one Great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 10:00 a. m. until 11:00 a. m. at Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a. m. Interment will also be on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at San Geronimo Cemetery at 2:00 p. m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice or to Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek.
