

CLOUD, A. Bruce, III., of Largo, Florida and formerly of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away Nov. 9, 2014 at his residence under hospice care and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, the son of Alfred Bruce, Jr and Helen (Gaskill) Cloud. Bruce graduated from Boca Ciega High School in 1959, and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1963. He owned and operated Osgood-Cloud Funeral Home serving Pinellas Park and surrounding communities from 1969 to 2006. Bruce was an active member and past president (’75-76) of the Pinellas Park Rotary Club, a member and past president (1976) of the Pinellas Park/Gateway Chamber of Commerce, a member and past president (1975) of the Pinellas County Funeral Homes Association. Bruce has also been involved with and Past President of the Pinellas Park Boys Club. He was a Former Chairman of the Pinellas Park Salvation Army, a member of First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park and a member of the Polywogs. Bruce was awarded Citizen of the Year in 1990 by the Greater Pinellas Park Chamber of Commerce. Bruce was a loyal fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Rays, an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, spending time at this home in Franklin, North Carolina, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; two children, Catherine (John) Coates and Jeffrey (Deborah) Cloud; a sister, Carolyn Beckwith; four grandchildren, Katie (Herman) Hatfield, Kelly (Dave) Barsky, Crystal Bote, and Chad Cloud; five great grandchildren, Colton, Maissa, & Wyatt Hatfield, Logan & Peyton Barsky; brother-in-laws, David Marshall-Martin and Michael Martin; sister-in-law, Dale Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his father-in-Law, Marshall Martin, mother-in-law, Doris Martin, and brother-in-Law, David Beckwith.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131st St. Seminole. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, November 14, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd. Largo with interment to follow at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.
