Flanagan, Barbara Ann, 78, of Crystal River passed away January 27th, 2021 at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park. Born in Medford, Massachusetts October 17th, 1942; she was raised in Massachusetts, lived briefly in California, and moved to Florida around 1970. Her love of nursing was evident by the way she cared for everyone she came in contact with. Barbara worked as a pre-op, post-op, and head nurse at Palms of Pasadena Hospital for over 30 years and was esteemed by her co-workers and patients.
Barbara was a woman of simple means. She was loving, caring, and enjoyed being with family. She loved to travel and went on many cruises, trips to England, and enjoyed RV’ing across the United States. Although she never had children of her own, she was the best Aunt in the world and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Beatrice Flanagan, and her siblings Beatrice (Crocker) Boudreau and Thomas Flanagan. Barbara is survived by her nephews, Steven Flanagan and family, Scott Boudreau and family; Niece Shelli (Flanagan) Beck and family; Companion, Richard Bowman.
Barbara’s memorial service will be held at Garden Sanctuary, Seminole, FL; 10:00 am February 21st, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Association of America or Suncoast Hospice.
