Haas, Charles William, 97, of Seminole, FL, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Wright's Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Seminole, FL. Born in Parsons, PA to Anthony C.H. Haas and Catherine Hoffmeister Haas, he moved to florida in 1970 from Wheaton, MD where he was a police officer for the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Seminole, FL., a former member of Tides Golf Club and a member of the Metropolitan Police Honor Detail for State Funerals of Presidents Roosevelt and Kennedy. He also served his country as Army Veteran of WWII.
Visitation held9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Chip Salzgeber of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd as officiant.
Committal prayers and entombment with his beloved wife Bertha, held following the service at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery in Seminole, FL..
