She met her first husband, Frank Calderone during the war and moved to the United States where they welcomed 2 daughters. From 1979-1982 she owned “Mama Claudia’s” in Clearwater, FL. She met Ed Babbage and they married in London in 1992.
Claudia is survived by her daughters, Phyllis McKenzie and Rosemarie (Parker) Willis; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was a “Mama” to many and had a way of making everyone feel special and loved.
A Celebration of Claudia’s life will be held from 4-8 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 am, Monday at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo. Burial will be 12:45 PM, Wednesday, November 22nd at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
