71, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away April. 13, 2012. She was born in Misterton England, the daughter of Silson Thorpe and Gladys Bertha Emily Godson.
She is survived by three sisters, Joan Catherine Guest, Gladys Anne Allen, Valerie Jean Heath and a brother John Thomas Thorpe in the UK. She trained as a nurse in Lincoln, England before moving to Guatemala and then to Florida. She was married to Lt. Colonel Charles Milton Bengele, Jr. who died in 2002.
