Abuelita will be missed, but we say goodbye knowing that she has had a full life--raising 4-5 kids, having a great career, and a very long marriage. Having lived in several countries and places in her life, she has tasted different cultures and lifestyles. I was very happy to see her xmas of 2013 :-) 

From those little elve heads that you hung in the window for Halloween to the empenadas you made every xmas to the frequent visits we made to you always smiling.

you will be missed, and always in our memories :-)

Dearest Waleeta,
 It is still very hard to believe you're gone.  Everyone has gathered today to say our goodbyes and to honor you in the best way we can.  You are incredibly special to everyone who has ever met you.  You are a gentle, caring soul and we will miss you terribly.  If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
 You gave everything you had and more to make your family as happy as possible.  Your sacrifices did not go unnoticed.  Your love is forever appreciated and valued more than you will ever know.
 The greatest reward in my life is having known you, my beloved Waleeta.  Nothing in the world could ever replace one second of the time I was lucky enough to spend with you.  Although gone, you are still with me.  I see you in the sunrise each morning and I feel your presence in every warm breeze.  You will always live in my heart.  Siempre viviras en mi Corazon.
 Thank you for all of your kindness and sweet words.  Thank you for your smiles and your wonderful advice.  Thank you for the funny stories and all of the delicious foods you have cooked throughout the years.  Thank you for always thinking of everyone else long before you ever thought of yourself.  Thank you for making our lives far more special than they ever could have been without you.
 If you could speak to us right now, I imagine you would tell us how happy you are and how joyous the reunion was with your husband of fifty years and with your loving parents. I imagine you would tell us that you are dancing with Abuelito in Heaven and running through the fields of Sunflowers with your mother.  I imagine you would tell us of the many adventures you are having with your father.  I imagine that you would tell us not to be sad for you.  I imagine that you would read this poem to us:
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief 
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief. 
If my parting has left a void 
Then fill it with remembered joy.
Do not be burdened with times of sorrow 
I wish you all the sunshine of tomorrow.

In the years that I knew her she was a very loving, caring person.  She and my mother really bonded.  She was a stellar person and inspired everyone around her.  I am glad that Elba and I were always there for her.  She will be surely missed.....

Mom,  I will miss you always and you will live in my heart.  You will always be remembered for your kindness, loving spirit and tremendous generosity to others in need as well as your love for the pets with no homes.  In loving memory.

It was a great honor to have met her and spent a bit of time with this very special lady. She had the sweetest spirit. What a joy it was to know her...If anyone deserves the delights of heaven, it is she.

Until we meet again, Mama, you will be missed greatly. Kiss Jesus for me. We love you!  Prayers and hugs for those that are still here for now.
