EDWARDS, Gethel Edith, 85, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born July 24, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Jessie (Williams) Mewbuorn. Gethel and her husband moved to Florida in 1962 from Dayton, Ohio. She was a hairdresser at Geri’s Beauty Salon and owned and operated Lady Fair Beauty Salon in South Pasadena, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Eugene Edwards, and a brother, Butch Mewbuorn.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Donald O.; a son, David M and his wife Debora; brothers, Arthur, Paul, and Lloyd Mewbuorn; a sister, Ruth Pease; and grandchildren, David M. Edwards, Jr. and Donald R. Edwards.
