My brother married Janet when I was very  young, she was a  lovely person.  She bought me things (that I still have) combed my very long hair, showed me how to roast chestnuts, how to like birds, play poker, how to use lots of butter when making vegetables and so many things.  I hung out at their apartment in Cleveland and then later at their house on Butternut Lane.  Janet was (at least with me) a stable, quiet person, not given to loud displays of emotion.  By then she had 2 children and another one on the way and I was growing older.   When I married my husband and I took the kids places.   The things she gave me were thoughtful, not just gifts, things that meant something to me.    I did not keep in touch very much after she married Jack and wish that I had, but nevertheless she had a great impact on me as a child and I will never forget her.  I hope all her pets are with her (patbird?) and if that is the case, she will be very happy.  All of her children are kind, nice people and I know she was so proud of them.
