Lawrence Cobey Gray

Lawrence Cobey Gray, 85, of Seminole, Florida entered into the joy of his Lord on February 26th, 2025. He was born on April 6th, 1939, in Waterbury Connecticut to Don and Catherine Giovannini. Larry entered the Marine Corps in 1957 and always lived by the saying, “Once a Marine, always a Marine”. After completing his enlistment, Larry had an exciting and varied career as a research lab technician, chemist, electronics repairman, police officer, Radio Shack executive, real estate agent, vocational school instructor and finally high-school teacher. Larry then retired from teaching to care for his disabled son for over 15 years. He was an airplane pilot who built his own plane and rode motorcycles into his eighties. Larry dedicated his life to service. He was an avid volunteer in the Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and after meeting Jesus in his sixties as a teacher, deacon, and elder in the church. Despite his many accomplishments, he was most proud of his family, his seven children, Larry, Kathy, Tim, Andy, Doug, Kevin, and Danny, his 16 grandkids, 3 great grandkids and loving wife of 47 years, Jan Gray.

Celebration of life will be held 1 PM on Satuday May 31st, 2025 at First Christian Church of Seminole (13272 Park Blvd).
